Good Poll. If there was another Funkey in that package that went to one of the new zones, I would bite the bullet and buy another starter kit. But Drift wasn't enough for me because his game is in Funkeystown.
And for those who know that I did buy one of those, well, I decided not to keep it and.......as much as I hate to admit it, I sold it on ebay! But someone wanted it more than I did!
mellafunk - your poll answers are good and have me thinking. I have been curious about the marketing decision behind Bones in the package. Anyone have any theories?

maybe Radica don't want to release any new funkeys with the new area, so maybe this means it might have not been finished or they just want to wait for a bit before they release it, so if drifts game is in funkeystown then they dnt have to show the new area and they cna sell a series one figure with it.

A part of me wondered if this bones was somehow coded different so that he would actually go into the nightmare zone, even tho his home isn't there. Guess we would have to ask someone who bought it if it does.

You remembered correctly that I did buy them, however I didn't keep them. But my thought is that the Bones isn't different, because I think if it was different, then Mattel would have put it on their little collector's poster thing (or checklist) they created of all the different funkeys.
That's right! It's hard to believe, isn't it? As tempting as it was, I'd rather not spend money on a 3rd hub! (I already felt I had to buy the speed racer starter just to get speed & chim-chim, but it was worth it in the end!). I decided I'd rather wait & spend money on the 4 pack Dream State or singles.
I picked up another starter hub for someone & I'll ask them about Bones just to be sure it isn't special.
But, Prolo, I do like your theory about maybe the new zones aren't ready yet. Maybe they felt they had to throw something out there to keep us interested for now. I can say for myself that I was becoming bored of it all, and the updates did renew my excitement in the game.......but now we're at another lull. And this time it is actually becoming frustrating.
Brace yourself for a bad pun here..........Mattel is throwing us a "Bones"!

You all have inspired a blog post for today. Check it out if you get a chance.
Glad you thought the joke was funny. I've been told before to leave the comedy to the professionals! But sometimes I can be "punny"
wisteriatayu ~ just re-read your post, and that's a good thought, about coding just to visit it, instead of a fully different game. That would be nice and would make it more sense.

yh maybe the new bones is like that speed racer character where you can play pinball with the other speed racer.... you can play a different game with the other bones
