Yesterday, my son inadvertently changed his username and/or password and now he is unable to access his previous username (and all of his progress). Now when he tries to access, the system does not recognize his new password. Is there anyway to clear the passwords, or bypass them so that he can get back to the room etc....that he had earned all of his points and products in? He has spent a lot of time on this game and now is having to start all over. Hints or advise?

Hi Sam! Thanks for your post, I've been hearing about that alot lately. Especially after the recent 3.0 updates and creating a "unique Funkey name". I moved your question down here since there was a similar one posted, and because it is really important so I want people to find it here. In the past, Mattel's customer support couldn't help much, but maybe they've had more experience with that now, so it might be worth calling them. If you need their number, I can list them. They are also in the back of the instruction booklet. If you want to try it yourself, here is a link to the UBFunkey.com's forum where someone posted how they fixed the problem. Before you try it, you might want to save a copy of all the player data files somewhere else. www.ubfunkeys.com/forums/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=2200Good luck! Please let us know how this turns out.

For those of you with this problem: Are you using Windows Vista as your operating system?
My problem (only 1 of our 8 usernames) with the username disappearing upon login, but I get the message incorrect password, is still a problem. I talked to Mattel's helpline today and their only solution is to reinstall, HOWEVER, it will overwrite everything and you will LOSE everything under all the usernames that are working. I'm a bit ticked right now to hear that's their only solution, especially after other players have posted work-arounds that sound like they should work.
Mattel says it's a VISTA problem. Is that true? I'm not sure if they are just blaming it on that so they can brush off the problem.

Mattel blames everything on vista. although i agree that this game does not work as well as it did on my old computer (windows xp) it runs quite well and i have had few problems.
Sam, i had the same prob. i had to re install the game cuz i got so fed up with trying to fix it, but now i wish i hadn't so what ever u do DO NOT UNINSTALL THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!

Similar problem with Vista we can only find one profile of the 4 which should be there so we cannot save profiles for if we uninstall. Very annoying.

Hi Robyn--
I know we were having the same password problem--have you found that occasionally you can get in to your login? It doesn't happen very often, but every once in a while I'll try it and, although it says something about "Master Lox strikes again" or something like that, it will occasionally log me in. If this is true, I don't understand why they can't fix the problem. I've still gotten no help, and it's been since the middle of June. They keep promising to contact me with an answer, and then they never do and I have to call them again. It's been oh so very frustrating.

I don't think you're going to get an answer from Mattel on that one, they don't have an answer except to reinstall. But then you're starting over and that's not a good answer for me. They apparently fixed the problem going forward, but it's hard for me to understand also why they can't fix the existing problem. The best answer anyone has to this is Revvinon & some other users who solved the problem on the UBFunkeys.com forum. I think I posted the link to it around here somewhere and I hope to post something on this topic on my blog someday soon. A few players figured out how to do a work-around so that you can get back in. But to answer your other question, I haven't been able to get in again under that one username that isn't working. However, I did have trouble on the others as well for just a little while one day, and I also got the "master lox has infiltrated......" message during that time.
