Hi I'm new to this. I bought the speed racer hub on Ebay. Do you have to load the software if you have already got the downloads. My daughter had downloads and loaded new software lost everything. Grandsons very disappointed. I have another one coming and don't want the same thing to happen. Has anyone any advice please?
My daughter says that new hub isn't recognised anyway. Oh dear

Hi grannyanne! Thanks for stopping by, signing up, and posting your question. It's always nice to have new folks join.
Sorry to hear that your grandsons lost their stuff, I know how that feels! Hopefully they'll earn it all back again.
The answer to your question is No, you don't need to install the software again if you already had the first hub & got the updates/downloads via the internet.
A good habit to get into is to backup the game files before you allow any new updates to come through. I still intend to post those instructions on my blog & here!

Just wanted to let everyone know that someone commented on my blog today that they found the Speed Racer Funkeys at Target now.
Time to check your Target stores, the Funkeys should be a couple dollars less there than Toys 'r us.
Has anyone seen them at Walmart yet?

:{ Bugger guess it will be months away for us yet we still havent had Funkiki Released here and by the time the site goes interactive we will be way way behind everyone else if we even get it Be alert Wench... Speed Racer funkeys hit the shelves here in ANZAC-land TOMORROW! (Along with the Funkiki Islands release too apparently.) I was VERY lucky (and had to talk hard with silver-tongue mode engaged) but managed to get a Speed Racer starter pack YESTERDAY -lol-  Slight down-side... the CD that comes with it DOES NOT come with the Speed Racer files installed! It's just the basic install and you still have to spend ages online downloading over 110megs of data, which, for us dial-up users, is about 14 hours straight! (And god help you if you want to check Gmail while it's doing it, because that adds an extra hour.) Sorry Mattel/Radica, but that just SUX! |

Hmmm..... What state do you live in? I now the speed racer movie is coming out soon so i must check the stores like target online. U.B. funkeys are kinda getting boring. It seems like there going to take to long to put new U.B. Funkeys out in stores. here they seem very common and not very popular so its easy to find the new ones. The new chat feature for the next series looks awesome. They should have a friend code system so they can make sure kids now if there talking to there friends or strangers.

I WAN'T TO SEE THAT MOVIE!! It may help with the game u never no!! i'm actualy trying to find out what the people are going to be like my fave is still racer X!!!!! o and u have to type in SPEED RACER in target 4 any thing 2 come up

hmmmmmmmm i thought about that but i would have to use my dad's paypal acount and he doesn't like funkeys that much so that ended that.

Can you actually race with the speed racers? My son has Racer X and Trixie but can only play the boxing game and the helicopter game. Is this all he is able to do? If so which Funkey do you need to race round the track?
